Introducing the Fusion XT Black/Laurel Wreath, the latest addition to KARHU’s lifestyle collection. Inspired by the mid-90s KARHU XT, the Fusion XT celebrates the brand’s cross-training heritage. Historically, KARHU’s product range was not limited to running, but also included a series of trainers and accessories. This new model pays homage to this rich history, highlighting a unique chapter in KARHU’s heritage.

Karhu is a brand born in 1916 in Helsinki and today represents the Finnish brand par excellence in terms of sports footwear. The Karhu brand, which in Finnish means "bear", until 1952 was represented by the 3 diagonal stripes, a distinctive sign that in that year was sold to Adidas. Legend has it that the 'three stripes' were purchased for the equivalent of 1600 euros today and two bottles of whiskey. What is certain is that the minds behind Karhu did not pay too much attention to that original exchange, soon forgetting the stripes and inventing the M-Symbol, the M symbol celebrating the Finnish word 'Mestari', champion, still in use today.
