This 9oz hemp/cotton Canvas fabric brings that seriously hardy feel that’s built to handle whatever creative nonsense you’re planning to unleash, whether that’s actually throwing paint around a studio or just looking like the kind of person who definitely knows how to sand mid-century furniture (even if your idea of restoration is buying things that are already distressed). The seven pockets are basically a portable workshop that can handle everything from brushes to phone chargers to the existential weight of unfinished projects. The elastic waistband means comfort is never negotiable, even during those marathon creative sessions where you lose track of time and somehow end up covered in more paint than your actual project.

It all started in California in the 1970s, when a new generation of free-spirited rock-climbers known as the Stonemasters took residency at Yosemite National Park, pioneering a new way of climbing—with a strong focus on speed and style. These new methods required a new uniform, and whilst painter pants and army surplus gear worked to a point—flexibility was needed. Mike Graham, a Stonemaster with a keen eye for design, set about creating the first true climbing shorts.Since 1982 Gramicci has been making functional clothing for life in the great outdoors. Built for movement, and loved by countless cultural movements—what started out in a garage in Ventura, California has traveled to the streets of Tokyo and beyond.
